How much is Nom Nom Dog Food?
Nom Nom Dog Food costs begin at around $3 per day for the smallest dogs eating exclusively one Nom Nom dog food recipe. People who have larger dogs should expect to pay more as Nom Nom’s pricing is based on how much food your dog needs and, naturally, larger dogs eat more.
However, a half-portion supplemental plan can be purchased for about 41%–50% less.
How much does Nom Nom cost? | Per meal | Per day | Per month |
6 lb. Yorkshire Terrier | $1.55 | $3.10 | $86.80 |
30 lb. English Cocker Spaniel | $2.92 | $5.85 | $163.88 |
65 lb. Boxer | $5.32 | $10.65 | $298.16 |
170 lb. English Mastiff | $10.65 | $21.30 | $596.32 |
The prices above are based on the number of calories a dog needs each day. Your dog’s calorie requirements are carefully calculated using the individualized information provided in the dog’s profile, such as their weight, age, and activity level. Nom Nom’s veterinary nutritionist also figures in specific breed conditions and past diet history to determine the optimal number of calories for your dog.
These prices will give you an idea of what your cost may be based on your dog’s weight, but they are approximate and may change based on other information from your dog’s profile, such as what recipes and meal plan you want, whether your dog needs to lose or gain weight, or the activity level of your dog. Nom Nom states that the typical dog owner with a 30 lb. dog will pay between $5 to $6.50 per day.
The best way to determine your exact price is to create a Nom Nom profile for your dog. You can see your final price and make adjustments before making any commitments or submitting any payment information.

How much does the supplemental plan cost?
Nom Nom offers a supplemental plan that consists of half the amount of fresh food, which you can mix in with your dog’s usual diet. This allows you to boost your dog’s nutrition (and keep picky eaters’ meals interesting!) without breaking the bank.
Nom Nom only offers supplemental plans to dogs who consume a minimum amount of food, so the Yorkie and Cocker Spaniel above are not eligible for supplemental plans.
Based on our quotes, we’ve seen the supplemental portion reduce costs by 41% to 50%.
- Yorkshire Terrier: N/A
- Cocker Spaniel: N/A
- Boxer: Full plan $74.54 / Half plan $37.27

How much is shipping?
If you have a subscription, shipping is always free.
Are there other Nom Nom Dog Food costs?
There is no sign-up fee and you can cancel at any time without being charged.
Currently, Nom Nom sells two snacks: Chicken Jerky and Beef Sirloin Jerky. Both of these USDA-compliant, single-ingredient jerky snacks are available for $15 per bag and can be added to your regular subscription.
If you want a variety of meals in each order, expect to pay an additional $5 flat fee per order. However, if you rotate meals every order (one recipe per shipment), it’s always free. Some meals cost slightly more or less than others. We noticed that the turkey meal was quite a bit cheaper than some of the other options.
Nom Nom provides cost savings for less frequent deliveries and multi-pet orders.

When will I be billed?
After the initial two-week shipment, Nom Nom will default to a bi-weekly shipping and billing schedule. However, you can adjust this to weekly or monthly deliveries.
If you have a tiny dog who doesn’t consume much food, your billing and shipping may default to every four weeks. If you need to make any changes to your account, such as shipping, cancelations, or a change of address, be sure to submit these changes before your order is processed, which is up to a week before your next shipping date.
