Nom Nom recall history
Nom Nom has issued just one recall in its history as a company. The voluntary recall ran from July 8, 2021, to February 11, 2022. However, the recall was limited to its Chicken Cuisine recipe for cats (since discontinued).
Nom Nom decided to make the voluntary recall after Tyson Foods reported that some of its chicken was contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes due to an ingredient used in the production process. Tyson Foods is based in Springdale, Arkansas, and is the world’s second-largest processor and marketer of chicken.
As a result, 105,540 pounds of Nom Nom’s cat food were recalled. You can read the FDA’s official enforcement report here.
Nom Nom has since discontinued its cat food line, so we recommend reading our Smalls cat food review for a fresh cat food option.

Has Nom Nom Dog Food been recalled?
No, there has never been a Nom Nom Dog Food recall as of the publication date above.
Although freshly made wet food has a higher risk of contamination (because the food isn’t reduced to shelf-stable kibble), Nom Nom has done an excellent job at maintaining its quality standards and delivering premium-quality food to nutrition-conscious dog owners.
In fact, we currently have some of Nom Nom’s dog food in our fridge, and our dog loves it. If you’d like to learn more about the brand, watch us unbox it, and get exclusive discounts, check out our Nom Nom Dog Food review.
